Holiday in The Park

Somehow I managed to not take a single picture of Thanksgiving, or our trip to the tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree. I'm still kicking myself for that.

We went to a local event called Holiday in The Park last weekend.

Emmett got to check out some reindeer

He also sat in Santa's sleigh

I was going to take a picture of him with the snowman, but Emmett would have nothing to do with that.

Santa arrived later, in a horse drawn sleigh.

It was super cold and getting late, so we decided to leave shortly after Santa arrived. The line for Santa pictures was crazy, and they said it was too windy to light off the wishes to Santa lanterns. They did let everyone take the lanterns home, so we lit it last night when it wasn't quite as windy. We were supposed to write a wish to Santa on it before we sent it off. Emmett's wish was to meet Mickey Mouse, since he is currently obsessed with him. :)

Emmett bundled up in his jammies and winter gear to send his wish lantern off.

 There it goes!

Getting smaller...

 and smaller...

Sorry for the crap quality of pictures in this post, but it was pitch black out both evenings and it was hard to get any decent shots.

First Haircut

Emmett got his first haircut a couple days before Thanksgiving. He completely freaked out and acted like he was being tortured. Luckily she was able to finish cutting it though.

Getting ready

The finished cut! It was styled in to a little faux hawk, but by the time I took these pictures it was already messed up.

After bath time with the gel washed out. He looks so much older with short hair!

Election Day!

Emmett went with me to the polls today so I could vote. He did great. Munched on puffs and peaked over the dividers at everyone else's ballots. As we left, one of the volunteers made sure Emmett got a sticker. :)

Fall Professional Photos

These are the professional photos we had taken of Emmett this fall. It was supposed to be his 9 month session, but we waited for some fall colors so they ended up actually being taken at 10 months.

Halloween!

Finally on Halloween Emmett got to finger paint the pumpkins we didn't carve earlier in the week. He really just liked making as big a mess as possible, and painting his foot. :)

Then Emmett put on his costume so he could go see his Great Grandma. Unfortunately I forgot the camera when we left the house. :( I did snap a couple of him playing with his barn before we left.

Pumpkin Carving!

We continued our Halloween fun on Sunday by having some family over to carve pumpkins.

Emmett's cousin helping carve pumpkins

Emmett helped by playing with some pumpkin guts!

We attempted to get pictures of them together in their costumes, but it wasn't happening. Here are my best attempts.

Cute care bear!

Legend of Sleepy Howell

Our Halloween fun started on Saturday with the Legend of Sleepy Howell. It's a really fun event put on by the city. They have trick or treating, live music, fire trucks, belly dancing, s'mores, and hay rides...all kinds of stuff!

Here is my little moo cow with his daddy. This alley was so neat!

Eating his s'more! He loved it and was upset that I didn't let him eat the whole thing.
