Mother's Day Weekend

We had a pretty busy Saturday! We headed down to Ikea to grab a cube organizer and a couple other items. Ikea on a Saturday = craziness! We made a couple more stops and then headed home. Justin got to work putting the Expedit together and Emmett wore his little felt tool belt and "helped" out. The tool belt was an impulse buy that I grabbed from the clearance section for $2.99 at Ikea. Best $2.99 spent, ever!
Do you need the hammer or the screw driver?

Step aside Dad, I got this!

Where does this peg go again?

Aside from mowing the lawn and playing outside, Sunday was a lazy day. Justin brought home a nice breakfast and some flowers and cookies for me for Mother's Day.

My beautiful tulips!

Super yummy cookie bouquet. These are from Cheryl's and they are so, so good!

Emmett also discovered the joy of bubble wrap. The first pop scared him, but then he couldn't get enough of it!

Beautiful Weather!

We have had about a week and a half of beautiful weather here. It's been in the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine. Emmett is loving all of the outdoor play!

Peeking through the circle in one of his climbers. Serious at first...

Almost smiling...

There we go!

Testing out the slide on the other one! Notice how he is holding on to a rock. You will probably see that in just about every outdoor photo of him for awhile. It's his new thing. He always grabs a rock and carries it around the entire time he is outside.

We did a lot of going down the slide

This is the frog has camped out on one of his climbers. He's always there. Emmett tried to poke at him at first, but now he just leaves him alone.

It was finally nice enough to start using our umbrella clothes line. This was diaper laundry day!

He also got a new water table to splash in. We still need to get him a few more water toys for it, but here he is testing it out for the first time.

Taking his rock for a dip...

The tower was a little tall for him so we set it in the lower part of the table. He was fascinated with the water wheel.

Hanging out in his play house. Notice he still has his trusty rock...

This picture makes my heart melt. He is such a handsome little boy!

Hands On Museum

Last Saturday we took Emmett to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum. He had a blast! First we hit up the 4 and under room. There is this giant ball maze in there that he was absolutely fascinated with. We spent a lot of our time at the museum at that ball maze.

He learned he had to be quick to grab them!

Trying to figure out where all of the balls are going

The water tables were another favorite! They had fishing polls, which he has been obsessed with since he got the fishing bath toy.

We spent quite awhile at the gear table too

He also got in the giant bubble thing with Daddy

They didn't get the bubble all the way up because Emmett kept kicking it when it got to his feet!

Magnetic circus. He was oddly fascinated with this and I don't think he even knew what it really did

Mildly interested in this light globe thing

We headed back down to the toddler room where he played in the water tables some more

 Playing in the foam bricks

Back to the ball maze!

He cried when we had to leave. We will definitely be back, but probably on a less busy day. The museum is pretty packed on a Saturday and the 4 and under room can get pretty overwhelming with all the little ones running around!
